About DECA Dental Group:

DECA Dental Group (“DECA”) is a Dental Support Organization (“DSO”) that provides non-clinical business support services to dental practices. DECA’s primary purpose is to care for the people who care for the guests. We do this by providing operational support, IT services, accounting, marketing, and professional development, among other things. The DSO model leaves independent, licensed practitioners free to concentrate on guest care.

 

Job Summary:

 

The Learning and Performance Consultant is responsible for providing training consultation to company leaders, designing and delivering training content in a variety of formats, and facilitating both in-house and off-the-shelf content. This role also includes managing and maintaining the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accurate content deployment, user administration, and reporting. Additionally, the specialist will be responsible for creating, editing, and managing training documentation, manuals, and other learning resources. The candidate must have 3+ years in a corporate training role developing learning solutions for all levels of the organization. Occasional travel is required.

 

Working Conditions:

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage training documentation, including manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), job aids, and other learning materials to ensure consistency, accuracy, and accessibility for team members.
  • Administer and support company learning management system (LMS)
  • Provide learning & development services and consultation to business team(s) comprised of dispersed and on-site employees
  • Implement L&D strategies and learning initiatives
  • Design and oversee development of T&D solutions in multiple formats (materials, e-learning, facilitation, etc.)
  • Analyze and communicate the metrics of learning effectiveness and provide feedback and recommendations for on-going improvement to partners
  • Participate as an integral and active partner within HR and business teams
  • Plans, schedules, and delivers learning events at various Ideal Dental offices. 10% travel required
  • Works with vendors to procure content and learning materials to support T&D learning initiatives
  • Tracks and reports learning outcomes and student enrollments in the learning management system

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High-School diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years’ experience in a corporate training role
  • 3+ years’ experience in instructional design and delivery
  • 3+ years training facilitation of leadership level curriculum
  • Candidates most be located in one of our operating states - Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, or Arizona. Surrounding states may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • LMS experience preferred (Absorb)
  • Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) Preferred
  • Experience in developing and maintaining training documentation, including manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and job aids.
  • Experience communicating and coordinating with a distributed workforce
  • Experience in applying various adult learning principles, methods and standards
  • E-learning design authoring tool experience preferred (Articulate and Vyond)
  • 3+ years of dental field experience preferred

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to select and use appropriate training/instructional methods and procedures - when learning or teaching new things
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
  • Ability and desire to train others
  • Demonstrated proficiency in OneNote, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, WebEx, and Visio
  • Ability to quickly learn newly developed software applications for purposes of training others
  • Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods This includes alternative ways to inform and keep engagement via written, oral, and visual media
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Keeps up-to-date technically and apply new knowledge to the job
  • Ability to provide and represent professionalism in job
  • Working knowledge of HIPPA privacy and Security rules
  • Average manual dexterity in use of a PC, phone, sorting, filing and other office machines
  • Ability to analyze information and use logic and process to address work-related issues and problems
  • Ability to operate with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to demonstrate customer service orientation
  • Ability to apply problem solving skills
