Position Summary:

Deca Dental Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Training and Development to lead and drive the strategic vision for talent development across our organization. This executive leader will design and implement innovative training programs that enhance the professional growth of our dental professionals, clinical teams, and support staff. The Director will collaborate with senior leadership to ensure training initiatives align with Deca Dental’s goals, foster a culture of continuous learning, and prepare the workforce for future success.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive training and career development strategy that supports Deca Dental Group's business objectives and fosters a high-performance, employee-centric culture.
  • Program Development: Design and implement scalable training programs for clinical and non-clinical employees, focusing on skills development, compliance, leadership, and career advancement.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the training and development team, ensuring they deliver high-quality, innovative, and engaging learning experiences.
  • Career Pathways: Create and oversee career development frameworks and pathways that facilitate internal promotions and professional growth for employees across all roles.
  • Clinical Training: Partner with clinical leadership to establish a robust clinical education program for dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, and other clinical staff, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Leadership Development: Drive leadership training initiatives to support the development of current and future leaders within the organization.
  • Technology Integration: Evaluate and implement technology platforms, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), to enhance the delivery and tracking of training programs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Operations, and Clinical teams to identify training needs, ensuring alignment with the company’s values and long-term goals.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of training programs and their impact on employee performance, retention, and patient care.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the budget for training and development initiatives, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum impact.
  • Compliance and Accreditation: Ensure that all training programs meet relevant industry regulations and standards, supporting employees in maintaining their professional licenses and certifications.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Education, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in training and development, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing large-scale training programs in a healthcare or dental environment.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, training best practices, and leadership development.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning technologies.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to influence and inspire teams, working across functions and departments.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Knowledge of dental or healthcare industry regulations and accreditation requirements is a plus.
