Responsibilities

  • We are looking for a passionate and energetic Learning & Development Specialist who can help build an environment of growth and development by creating and delivering training and programs for our team members.
  • This person is responsible for creating, adapting, and delivering curricula for various audiences and learning delivery methods.
  • Support L&D program creation, coordination, administration, and facilitation, including leadership, compliance, and new hire orientation and onboarding.
  • Design learning programs, materials, and solutions using the ADDIE method or other adult learning theories.
  • Develop required learning assets (self-assessments, presentations, handouts, self-study materials, assignments, etc.) aligned to the desired learning outcome.
  • Conduct a needs assessment of a specific group of learners, then update training materials and methods and adapt to the group’s needs.
  • Provide materials and pre- and post-learning assignments and initiate their engagement in the learning process.
  • Follow up and/or provide feedback on pre- and post-learning assessments.
  • Provide post-learning support that ensures practical use of gained competencies.
  • Facilitate meetings and learning events in face-to-face and online situations.
  • Develop and manage data collection instruments (questionnaires, surveys, structured interviews, focus groups, etc.)
  • Manage instructor-led and online learning scheduling, rosters & completion status.
  • Create and lead the facilitation of best practices and development for trainers outside of the department.
  • Regularly evaluate programs, materials, and learning solutions to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Draft and deliver standard & project-specific communications.
  • Demonstrates creativity and develops engaging training materials that support the transfer of learning.
  • Partners collaboratively and demonstrates a consultative approach.
  • 75% travel required

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 year’s experience with training, facilitating, learning & development.
  • Dental experience preferred.
  • Proficient with navigating and creating content via the LMS software.
  • Experience in developing and delivering learning content in a virtual format.
  • Advanced knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Experience implementing adult learning best practices and accessible and inclusive design.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, set appropriate timelines, clarify expectations, and utilize effective processes/approaches to ensure work is delivered with excellence in a timely manner.
  • Ability to problem-solve complex content in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with employees and leaders across all levels with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
